Awarded to the individual who has demonstrated excellence in providing customer service through the fulfillment process. Having been involved in the magazine industry for over 20 years, Steven Jacobs is currently the Fulfillment Director at American Media Inc where he oversees all fulfillment functions for 12 industry leading titles such as Shape Magazine, Men’s Fitness, Star and the National Enquirer. Prior to working at AMI, he worked at The NY Times Sports / Leisure Magazines on such notable titles as Golf Digest, Golf World, and Tennis Magazine.
Over the years he has been involved in numerous title start-ups, the deployment of the IMPOZE production/circulation program, as well as the development and implementation of many new renewal and billing series packages, direct mail efforts, and automatic renewal programs. He also is actively involved on the subscription distribution side as a member of the Red Tag Mailing Association and as a participant in the CDS Postal User Group.
As part of this responsibility, he is currently overseeing AMI’s implementation of the new USPS Intelligent Mail Barcode, and new USPS Labeling requirements. He has also developed many costs saving programs which have cut millions of dollars from the company’s bottom line while improving delivery and reducing customer Service complaints. In addition, he oversees all Print order generation, ECP implementation, and all matters concerning ABC including being a member of the ABC timeliness Task Force. Steven is a graduate of Union College, NY and also has an MBA in Finance from Pace University and an MS in Computer Science from Sacred Heart University.
